CHAPTER XCIII.

An ACT to authorize the Governor and Secretary of this state to use their private seals to their official acts.

WHEREAS By the burning of the Capitol, the state seal and the seal of the Secretary's office have been destroyed:

SEC. 1. BE it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for the Governor of this commonwealth to affix his private seal instead of the state seal, to all commissions and other official acts, until a state seal be provided.

SEC. 2. BE it further enacted, That it shall be lawful for the Secretary of State to use his private seal instead of the seal of his office, until a seal of office be provided.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all the faith and credit shall be due and paid, to the private seal of the Governor, and of the Secretary of State, respectively used under the provisions of this act, that is due to the state seal, and the seal of the Secretary's office.
